Our History
Expertise and tradition:
from 1963 to the present
St.El.Mar Srl was established in 2020 as a trading company, and in 2023 it became a production company operating in the field of plastics processing by extrusion.
However, the company has solid historical foundations as, over the years, it has taken over the skills and know-how of Macchi Sauro Srl, a company that has been in business since 1963, and operates in Solbiate Olona in the province of Varese, an area that has great traditions in plastics.
In recent years, thanks to the renewal of its technical department, it has developed innovative products that fit into different markets, from infrastructure to housewares to home and garden products.
MATERIALS USED
The materials used in the production process are derived from polyethylene both virgin and regenerated:
HDPE (High Density)
LDPE (Low Density)
EVA (Ethylene vinyl acetate)
If necessary, the company may consider processing other thermoplastic materials on order.
Our products
Production is made through the process of flat sheet extrusion.
Made of HDPE, LDPE and EVA with a minimum thickness of 0.4 mm and a maximum thickness of 2 mm for a maximum height of 1300 mm.
For special projects, even thicker products up to 3 mm can be made.

Made by using a thermoforming machine and a press, both manually operated.
Prime examples are HDPE lawn mower flat bottoms, EVA non-slip mats, and HDPE insulating plates for the railroad industry.
